Legio XVII – Jérémy Cisse

Enjoy this CGI 3D Animated Short created by Jérémy Cisse during his 4th year at Supinfocom Valenciennes.

The story was inspired by an historic battle of the ancient rome, when the germans clans join the rebellion organized by Arminius and push the Romans out of the germania. This roman army was the greatest army of this time, composed by three legion ( XVII, XVIII and XIX ). Arminius had an army much less important and yet, he decide to attack the biggest Roman army on the german territory. He attracted them into the forest and took them in ambush.

All three legions were destroyed in what is known as the Battle of Teutoburg Forest, After their destruction, the Romans never used these legion numbers (XVII, XVIII and XIX) again and never come back to Germania.
